History Of TeaTea was first discovered in 2737 B.C. by the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung. The discovery was pure luck! The emperor drank his cup of warm water without realizing that there was a leaf in the cup. It turns out that it was actually a tea leaf blown by the wind into his cup. The aroma of his drink really made an impression on him and soon the word spread and everyone started drinking this refreshing beverage. Impact of tea in the Chinese culture can be traced through the designs of current
Chinese tea sets sold. Little did the emperor realize the impact tea was going to have to societies and cultures around the world.
The Japanese society embraced tea and resulted in the creation of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, with its intricately detailed Japanese tea sets which are currently sold world wide. Russia came to discover tea in the year 1618, and like Vodka has become a major part of their culture. Tea made it’s way into the English culture in the 1660. Since then tea has become the beverage of choice all over the world. |
